Two Words I Don’t Understand Coming From my Grandchildren

I’m getting older, and when my friends tell me they “forgot” to do something, I understand. Our brains change as we get older. Our short term memory lapses, sometimes to a grave degree. When teen-agers tell me “I forgot,” I want to whack them on the back of their heads, and say, “How could you forget? I just asked you to do this – not five minutes ago???” I have decided that “I forgot” really means “I don’t want to do it.” Get on top of what words really mean in society – not what the dictionary tells us they should mean.
