We get a lot of telemarketers calling us during the course of the business day. We can usually tell that the call is a telemarketer by:
1. A pre-recorded voice that starts speaking as soon as we pick up the phone.
2. Dead silence for 3 – 5 seconds while their phone systems directs the call to a live body, because we answered the phone.
