A buyer in Maryland used to book her quarterly negotiations every hour on the hour for television stations, and every half hour for radio reps. She was known to be able to negotiate an entire market in a day and a half. Once she gave each rep their appointment time, she was sure to tell them that “if you are late, you will not be seen.” This meant no business for that quarter. This gal was serious! She was not about to let one rep back up her schedule and inconvenience everyone else. As reps, no one knows how the buyer has booked her appointments for the day. It is up to reps to be on time and ready to do business.
