My daughter with the nine kids had a water/sewer bill in January that covered three months. The total was $620. She paid $240 before the end of January and asked to pay the remainder, without late fees over the next two months. She stated that would be 90 days – same as cash. The City denied her request for the deletion of late fees (about 10%). The water in Taneytown is not drinkable. Our doctor was sure to let us know that the minute we moved into town. So, in addition to paying for water that can’t be consumed, my daughter has to pay for bottled water. Wait a minute. Are we living in Taneytown, Maryland or is this Flint, Michigan? Maybe we should get the townspeople together and submit our bills for bottled water to the City to pay!
