Small Print on TV Ads

The average person can read ten words of copy on a billboard with the car travelling at about 60 mph. How many words of fine print can the average person read on those TV ads where the fine print is ultra important – one just doesn’t get time to read it! This is particularly the case with pharmaceutical ads where the fine print could tell you that you could die if you take this particular medicine. Also, just what are those attorneys saying with the huge amount of small print at the end of their commercials? Wouldn’t you like to know? Wake up Ad Council! Pass a broadcast law where if the ad contains small or fine print, the public MUST be allowed the time to read it!
