What to do When You Get a Raise

Everyone works hard and diligently to get raises. That is the only way they can afford to keep their families fed. So, in essence, we work hard and earn those raises. They are rightfully ours. But, if you want another raise next year, one of the best things you can do is to write a hand-written personal note to your boss letting him/her know you appreciate the raise. A little kindness and a little class go a long way. Everyone likes to be thanked when they’ve done something nice for someone else, whether they deserved it or not.
